Partners In Housing

Frank Stampf, Executive Director of Partners In Housing (PIH), has retired as of December 31, 2011.  Mary Stegner, the Partners In Housing Finance Officer, has been named as the new Executive Director.  Barbara Blumer, the PIH Support Services Director, has been named as Director of Services. They will work very closely together on day-to-day operational functions as well as the organization’s strategic development.

Stampf, who retired from a 23-year career in the Air Force in 1993, and from the defense contracting business in 1999, began with PIH in 2000 as their part time Volunteer Coordinator.  In 2002, he became their Director of Operations, and in 2007, was named as the Executive Director, replacing Dick Conn who retired from the position after16 years.

Having worked as the Financial Manager of PIH and Catholic Charities concurrently before moving full time to PIH in 2007, Stegner (right) has the unique experience of having worked with PIH when the concept was first developed in 1989, even before it became a separate nonprofit agency.

Similarly, Blumer (left) supported both PIH and Catholic Charities as Director of Human Resources and Risk Management prior to moving over full-time to PIH in 2006.  As a result, she also has a long history with the organization and its mission.

“While I obviously leave with mixed emotions, I am certain that this is a great move forward for the agency, and ultimately for the homeless families we serve.  I have every confidence in Mary and Barbara’s leadership abilities and their passion for the mission of PIH” commented Stampf.
