Current Volunteer Opportunities

Immediate Need!  Partners In Housing needs volunteers with a pickup or moving truck to help pick up and deliver donated furniture.  While PIH has many generous donors who give us furniture, we must rely on volunteers to pick it up.  Help make a homeless families' new house or apartment a home by delivering furniture for PIH!

Immediate Need!  PIH is looking for people to help with the planning and implementation of our 2012 Casino Night fundraiser.  We particularly need people who can help with our silent auction, decorations, and bringing in new attendees.

Child Enrichment Center Volunteer (Group or Individual) - Help care for the homeless children in our program while their parents are in life skills classes.  Play games, make arts and crafts, and help kids with their homework.  Classes are usually held Thursday evenings.

Colorado House Food Pantry Volunteer (Group or Individual) - Help keep the food pantry at Colorado House stocked and organized, and assist with distributing food to Colorado House residents.

Donation Room Volunteer (Group or Individual) - Help sort through new donations of clothes and household goods, keep PIH's donation room organized, and assist with distributing donation room goods to Partners.

Budget Counselor (Individual) - Work one-on-one with PIH Partners on a monthly basis to review their spending and answer financial questions.  Teach Partners about household budgeting and savings, basic banking services, debt and credit management, and other financial topics.

Yardwork Volunteer (Group or Individual) - Help PIH perform periodic yard maintenance on one or more of our 40 scattered-site homes.  All homes have been xeriscaped, but PIH needs seasonal help with pulling weeds, trimming trees and bushes, or reapplying rock, mulch, etc.
